This particular assignment
was designed to teach some of the basics of the class; such as scanning, the
differences in some of the file types, resolution, file size, and blogging.
Skills Learned
I am going to sound a bit
off, but I re learned several skills I already knew in a new program
(Photoshop). Those skills being resizing / changing the resolution of an image.
But I also learned the importance of using the right size and formant of an
image.
I really liked how most of
this mage came out, mostly with the background. The background was created with
grates that separate the general student population from the welding/automotive
department workspace. I feel it came out real neat, and I like how the red popped against the darker blue and grey of the other two parts of the picture. The A it’s self came from
one of the large signs denoting which building you where standing in front of.
The big disappointment with this image is how the female and handicap symbols
came out really blurry, perhaps if I used a different color it would have come out better..
This one came out a little
busy but still nice. The back ground in this one was formed by the concrete
wall of the art building. I like the separation in the bricks, it makes it feel
less white noisy. The red diamonds are actually from one of the light fixtures
on the outside of the art building and they came out real neat. The blue text
is hard to read but it reads “Faculty Office”. And the pink mountain with the sun-rays
is the Arizona Western College symbol which I found on one of the “Which
building is this” signs. In hind sight I wouldn't use the Pink and the red in conjunction with this picture again. With it being as busy as it is, the similar colors used for the diamonds and the mountains make it even harder to read.
